After diving into the readings and video on the topic of digital native and the overall power of technology, I noticed many things about where myself stands as well as where others stand when it comes to this. The thing that obviously sticks out is age. Age can be a predominant factor because technology has rapidly devoloped so fast in the last decade and even more in the last two decades. When the elders of our family were younger, they did not have the technological resources that we have today and some of may ask ‘how did they do it’. It is a question that I have caught myself ask and it it seems crazy that we live and basically rely on the technology we use everyday. Such as our phones, computers, TV’s, and so on. Then comes in the digital native. Where people are born into the already advanced technological systems that have been created. They are already invested into it where people in the past decades have had to develop with it, gradually learning when new tools and resources come out. It is unique in the sense that when I look on my own past, and have seen the growth from not having a phone, to the first iphone, and now to the newest iPhone, which i honestly don’t even know what number it is at at this point. I think that we really do not need to teahc the younger generation too much about the technologicla literacies as it is already so powerful in our soicety and basically taking over the world.

I consider myself a digital native but more so that technology started its true increase at the time where it was alright for myself to get into it, like having a phone for instance. I have always been into what the next advance may be and have been easily developed into understanding how everything works.

In the Mesch article, what I found interesting was the topic on the Internet Culture. I found this interesting because it dives into the content of the intent and the production of it, what it all means and how it is operated. it gave ,e a better understanding on the data that it uses and how much data the internet can operate which is very unique. As far as the Le Cornu article, something interesting that I found was that the article gave me a deeper understand of digital natives, visitors and residents. That visitors are just enough happy to get their tasks done with the tool that provides them with their best comfortability. It makes sense to me because I understand that proccess and always think about all the different types of people in the world that may not even have the internet or do not use it what so ever.

Overall, It was a very interesting topic this week as well as very beneficial and allowed be to broaden my understanding of technology and digital natives more.
